With respect to the Dada art movement’s most famous work, ‘Fountain’ by R. Mutt aka Marcel Duchamp, I encountered a modern rendition which I named the “Mounted Fountain”. Recessed deep in an isolated stall, surrounded by its own natural environment’s sights, sounds, and smells, this exquisite ‘ready-made’ sculpture is valued not only for its shape and patina, but also for its function, interaction and practical use.
